Alibaba releases Qwen3.8-Max, its most capable model to date

Alibaba officially released Qwen3.8-Max, described as the most capable model in the Qwen family, with 2.4 trillion total parameters and 95 billion active parameters using a mixture-of-experts design. The model shows comprehensive improvements in coding, work, research and long-horizon tasks, including multi-day autonomous coding runs and end-to-end complex task delivery. Open weights are scheduled for release the following week, and the model is available via QwenCloud API.
