IBM releases global CHRO study on AI and workforce critical thinking
Editorial Analysis
IBM’s Institute for Business Value published a global survey of 1,500 CHROs and 8,800 employees finding that 60% of employees worry AI is eroding skills, with critical thinking most frequently cited. CHROs ranked the ability to supervise and override AI outputs as the top required workforce skill, while nearly half of organizations exclude the CHRO from AI strategy definition. The study quantifies accountability and skills gaps emerging as AI is deployed in enterprises.
