AWS releases open-source Strands Harness AI agent framework

AWS open-sourced Strands Harness, a ready-to-use general-purpose agent built on its Strands SDK that runs locally or on any cloud. It reports 28 percent lower token cost than comparable harnesses at similar accuracy across benchmarks while supporting models from Anthropic, OpenAI, Google and Bedrock. The Apache 2.0 release lowers barriers to production agent deployment.
