ESA and Mistral sign Letter of Intent for AI space cooperation

The European Space Agency and Mistral signed a Letter of Intent establishing a strategic framework to deepen collaboration on artificial intelligence for space applications. The agreement, signed by ESA Director General Josef Aschbacher and Mistral CEO Arthur Mensch, covers exploration of Mistral models and infrastructure for Earth observation, engineering, secure AI capabilities and skills development, building on existing projects such as the Orbit AI assistant and EVE Earth Virtual Expert.
