Schneider Electric to acquire PTC for about $22.6 billion in AI push

Schneider Electric agreed to buy industrial software firm PTC for approximately $22.6 billion in an all-cash deal, its largest acquisition to date, explicitly framed as expanding its position in the artificial-intelligence boom. The transaction adds engineering and product-lifecycle software capabilities aimed at creating a combined industrial software and AI offering for sectors including automotive, aerospace and medical technology, with expected closing in the third quarter of 2027.
