Anthropic agrees to $45 billion six-year compute deal with Nscale
Editorial Analysis
Anthropic committed approximately $45 billion over six years to rent about 460 megawatts of AI cloud capacity from Nscale’s West Virginia data center campus, to be powered by Nvidia Vera Rubin chips starting late 2027. The agreement forms part of Anthropic’s broader effort to secure large-scale compute ahead of a planned IPO amid rising demand for its models and products. It expands the company’s multi-provider infrastructure portfolio that already includes deals with other cloud and chip suppliers.
