Anthropic in talks for ~$45B compute deal with Nscale

Nscale, an Nvidia-backed AI cloud provider, is in talks to supply Anthropic with computing power in a transaction that could be worth about $45 billion, focused on a second facility at its Monarch campus in West Virginia. The potential agreement follows an earlier large Nscale commitment and underscores the scale of long-term capacity deals frontier labs are locking in. Such contracts concentrate both capital and physical infrastructure around a small set of model developers.
