DeepSeek releases open-source Super-agent coding agent prototype

DeepSeek released an open-source research prototype called Super-agent (also referred to as dsh-superagent), a proactive coding agent that monitors developer group chats and GitHub activity, routes tasks to worker agents, and suggests or implements solutions with minimal human prompting. The release directly targets the capability space occupied by proprietary tools such as Anthropic’s Claude Code. It expands practical, self-hostable agentic coding options available outside closed US frontier laboratories.
