Google and UN launch AI-ready UN System Data Commons platform

Google and the UN system launched the UN System Data Commons, an open AI-ready knowledge graph that unifies siloed global statistics from UN entities into a single searchable resource with natural-language querying and agentic research assistant capabilities. Built on Google’s Data Commons with support from Google.org, the platform enables AI agents to autonomously retrieve and connect verified data for analysis and reporting. It aims to make high-integrity UN data accessible for research, policy and AI applications, with expansion planned to cover most UN statistical datasets by 2027.
