Moonshot, Z.ai and peers bring AI model subscriptions to Alibaba Tmall

Chinese AI developers including Moonshot AI and Z.ai (Zhipu AI) are expanding distribution by selling model subscription plans and token packages on Alibaba’s Tmall e-commerce platform. Z.ai opened a storefront for its GLM Coding Plan, followed by Tmall launching an “AI Space Station” marketplace featuring offerings from Alibaba Cloud, Z.ai, MiniMax and DeepSeek. Early data showed transactions involving AI tokens and subscriptions across Taobao and Tmall rising more than 160 percent within 48 hours of the Z.ai storefront launch.
