Sembcorp and Nxera sign MOU for low-carbon energy supply to AI data centres

Sembcorp Utilities and Nxera (Singtel Group’s AI data centre arm) signed an MOU on 26 October 2026 for the supply of renewable and low-carbon energy to Nxera’s data centres in Singapore. Solutions under assessment include low-carbon hydrogen, biomethane power, building-applied photovoltaics and renewable imports from a 2.2 GWp floating solar project. The agreement addresses rising power demand from AI workloads in a capacity-constrained market.
