TypeSafe AI emerges from stealth with Jev System One model and $40M seed
Editorial Analysis
TypeSafe AI, founded in 2024 by former OpenAI researcher Diogo Almeida with Erik Gafni and Sasha Sheng, released its first System One model Jev in early access. The model is designed for machine-native structured probabilistic decisions rather than text generation, using a new training method called RLCD, and claims substantially lower latency and cost for automation tasks. The company simultaneously closed a $40 million seed round led by DCVC.
