Google launches Connected Apps Platform for Search and Gemini app

Google opened a unified Connected Apps Platform in preview, allowing developers to build once and deploy integrations across both Search and the Gemini app via cloud-hosted MCP servers or Android MCP with AppFunctions APIs. The platform includes a Connected Console for registration, testing, submission, and monitoring, with phased access expansion planned. Concurrently, new partner integrations including Adobe, Calm, and Peloton went live or were announced for Gemini, with Search support forthcoming, expanding the number of Connected Apps beyond 50.
